new in 2025!!

Dare to cook, try, believe, do...

I'm a writer, not really a cook.  It sometimes irks me that I come from a big family of natural-born cooks who can throw a handful of ingredients together and come up with something fabulous.  Sadly, that's not me.  Nevertheless, I'm a foodie with a love of culture, history, music, shopping, and travel.  I came up with the name The "PinHibited" Cook  as a combination of words that describe me (and anyone who knows me well, will probably say this makes perfect sense).  Because I love finding new ideas on Pinterest (including recipes and other inspirations), but consider myself yet inhibited when it comes to cooking, I figured that surely there might be others out there like me -  who need some tips to get motivated, or a complete how-to set of instructions - all while learning and appreciating where culture combines with something we all need on a daily basis: food.  And...I don't know...but maybe the rest of you who enjoy cooking, crafting, DIYing, and do it well, perhaps you can also offer your awesome feedback and mentor the rest of us???    Just throwing that out there...

FYI - Some disclaimers:

  • I am NOT  a health nut, but I enjoy making healthier foods and finding substitutions that my palate can accommodate.
  • That said, I like salty, sweet, ooey-gooey and fried fatty goodness in moderation.  Maybe sometimes more often than I'd care to admit.
  • No, I DON'T get paid from any of the places or products I may mention, and if they are fortunate enough to be named, it is only out of my sole opinion.  So take it or leave it, you don't even have to agree with me!   Just know that I will be honest and do bear with me if ever I find myself caught up in pithy remarks.  It's the writer in me.
  • I DON'T claim to have all the best recipes, projects, or ideas.  In fact, I'll be sharing what others have posted or passed down to me, and as I continue practicing being a little LESS inhibited, I shall submit some of my own creations.  Allow me to humbly share with you the many things I've learned from life, adventure, and sometimes (happy) accident.  May you find yourself inspired, too, just as I continue to be.

Now that you are enlightened,  I shall leave you to wander in the direction you so choose.  Looking for food?  Info?  Reviews?  Ideas?  Then dig in!
